When you look around our community in Middle Georgia, it is not hard to find a way Jimmy Pruett has served others – from being a Commissioned Officer in the Army National Guard to being appointed by the state to the Rural Economic Development Commission.
Being raised here, Jimmy started his first business in his hometown of Eastman with a staff of two employees and one vehicle. That business grew to 150 employees. In addition, Jimmy has been actively involved in industry recruitment efforts that brought companies like BellSouth, AMD and Heart of Georgia Metal Crafters to our district and provided jobs to hundreds of our fellow citizens.
Along with running his successful businesses, Jimmy served on the Advisory Board of the Heart of Georgia Technical School, The Small Business Advisory Committee for the U.S. Senate, the Heart of Georgia Airport Authority, the Eastman Dodge Historical Society, and the American Cancer Society.
Jimmy has also been chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, an active member of the Hospital Authority, and past president of the PTO at Dodge Elementary and Dodge Middle School.
Jimmy and his wife Casey enjoy being active in the church and the community.
